About Us

Nirmal Jyothi Special School is an institution run by the Franciscan Clarist sisters in the Diocese of Nalgonda, dedicated for the Education and Rehabilitation of persons with mental retardation or any other disabilities. The Institute has a humble beginning with 8 children in the year 2009 and today it has grown to be one of the preeminent Special Schools in the District of Nalgonda. The institute which is located in S.L.B.C. Sagar route is 6kms away from Nalgonda town. Nirmal Jyothi Special School is a registered organization imparting special training for the children who need extraordinary care, in particular for the mentally challenged children. The Institute has a highly motivated faculty, good infrastructure and above all a peaceful atmosphere to fulfil the expectations and demands of the present scenario.

Education and training at Nirmal Jyothi Special School are organized according to the schemes and guidelines of the apex professional body for India, the National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH). Students are admitted to different classes after thorough assessment of their intellectual capacity and their relevant personal and family background. All educational programs aim at maximizing the holistic potential of the individual person.

  • To bring parents of special children under one association of their own in order to work for the care, training, treatment and rehabilitation
  • To develop opportunities for interaction and mutual support between parents of special children
  • To help parents to identify resources either in the form of manpower, funds and material
